We headed out to explore Shenyang, China, and we can’t stop thinking about how it feels so different—and honestly, better in some ways—than Western cities we’ve visited. Walking through the streets at night, we felt the vibrant energy of the night markets, with their colourful lights and mouth watering smells of street food.

It’s not just the sights but the way life flows here—there’s a rhythm, a sense of balance between tradition and modernity that’s so unique. The city planning feels intentional, and the public spaces are alive with people enjoying life. We couldn’t help but wonder, is this what truly sets Shenyang apart?
