Ma'anshan: Steel City & Disappearing Crafts

Hello, I'm Emily. Today I'm in Ma'anshan, an industrialized city with steel as its main resource. The big meat noodles here are very delicious. Not far from here, there is a coffeehouse next to the railway tracks. While drinking coffee, you can feel the vibration brought by the passing train. I was very lucky to meet a craftsman who has been engaged in steel processing for more than 60 years. Today, with the development of industrialization, these old skills are gradually fading from people's vision. However, there are still some old craftsmen who insist on using their hands to pass on this art in the shabby alleys. They are the living fossils of Chinese steel culture.
